Congressman Addison McDowell recently shared his thoughts and activities on social media, addressing topics ranging from aviation safety to drug enforcement. His posts provide insight into his legislative priorities and opinions on current events.

On June 8, 2025, Congressman McDowell expressed his appreciation for the Air Line Pilots Association after meeting with them to discuss aviation safety and modernization of air traffic control systems. He stated, “Honored to meet with the Air Line Pilots Association to discuss strengthening aviation safety and modernizing our air traffic control systems. Appreciate all they do to keep America flying safely.”

The following day, June 9, 2025, McDowell commented on Vice President Kamala Harris in a critical manner. He tweeted about her lifestyle and decisions regarding criminal justice reform, saying “Kamala wrote this as she sat in her multi-million dollar mansion pondering when her next hit on @TheView will be. Let’s just hope she doesn’t help bail out more dangerous criminals before late-morning yoga tomorrow.”

Later that day, he turned his attention to the efforts of the Coast Guard in combating drug trafficking at sea. Highlighting his legislative efforts, he mentioned a bill aimed at supporting their mission against fentanyl distribution. He noted, “The Coast Guard is on the front lines—stopping fentanyl at sea and saving lives on deck. My bill backs them up with the tools they need to fight this drug crisis head-on.”

In recent years, there has been growing concern over fentanyl trafficking due to its impact on public health and safety across various communities.
