Congressman Addison McDowell, a prominent figure in national politics, recently shared his thoughts on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. These posts cover topics ranging from public health awareness to immigration policy and legislative measures against fraud.

On June 6, 2025, Congressman McDowell highlighted the importance of National Naloxone Awareness Day. He stated that “Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes.” He emphasized the necessity of understanding its use and ensuring its availability, urging the public to spread awareness as “every second counts.”

Later that day, McDowell addressed concerns regarding immigration policy under President Biden’s administration. He claimed that “Biden’s team used a side door loophole to let 2.8 million illegal aliens in, nearly 2,000 a day—with no real vetting.” He criticized the influence of “woke, unelected bureaucrats,” calling for a change in direction to address what he perceives as reckless policies.

In another post on the same day, McDowell expressed support for legislative efforts against financial fraud involving government assistance programs. He remarked that “if you’re skimming EBT, you’re not just taking money, you’re taking food out of a child’s mouth.” The congressman announced his backing for Representative Vince Fong’s SKIM Act aimed at combating theft and fraud related to Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards.

The SKIM Act is proposed legislation designed to strengthen penalties and enforcement against fraudulent activities targeting EBT systems.
