Congressman Addison McDowell has recently shared his thoughts and legislative priorities on social media, focusing on family celebrations and policy matters. His posts reflect both personal sentiments and professional commitments.

On June 15, 2025, Congressman McDowell extended warm wishes for Father’s Day to families. He expressed his greetings by saying “Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! From my family to yours, wishing you a relaxing and enjoyable day with your family and children.”

The following day, June 16, 2025, he commented on a legislative initiative known as “The One Big Beautiful Bill.” He highlighted its goals by stating that it “locks in @realDonaldTrump’s tax cuts, unleashes American energy, and delivers historic border security. All while gutting wasteful spending and ending handouts for illegals.”

Later that same day, Congressman McDowell shared his support for the HALT Fentanyl Act. He explained that the act “permanently classifies fentanyl as a schedule I drug, strengthens penalties, and gives law enforcement the tools to shut down traffickers.” He also mentioned his pride in voting for its passage to President Trump’s desk.

The One Big Beautiful Bill is a comprehensive piece of legislation that addresses various policy areas including tax cuts initiated during Donald Trump’s presidency. Meanwhile, the HALT Fentanyl Act aims to address the opioid crisis by targeting fentanyl trafficking.
