Congressman Addison McDowell, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative priorities and community events.

On July 19, 2025, McDowell described his support for former President Trump’s legislative agenda, stating: “The One Big Beautiful Bill is President Trump’s agenda and the course correction our country needs after the mess Biden left it in. This week I joined @TimRunsHisMouth at @RepublicanStudy New Media Row to break down the wins. “

Later that day, McDowell attended a local event in Winston-Salem. He wrote: “Honored to join the ribbon cutting for the Sunflower House of Hope in Winston-Salem. This will be a refuge for mothers fighting addiction, a place for recovery and hope. Thank you to Melanie Bell for making this vision a reality.” The Sunflower House of Hope aims to provide support services for mothers dealing with addiction issues.

On July 20, 2025, McDowell turned his attention to digital finance policy during Crypto Week. He posted: “Great to sit down with @AlejNavia of @nowmedia during Crypto Week. The GENIUS Act, CLARITY Act, and Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act lay the foundation to unleash the golden age of digital finance — making America the crypto capital of the world.” These legislative efforts are intended to shape national policy on cryptocurrency and financial technology.

McDowell’s recent statements reflect ongoing debates over national policy directions following transitions between presidential administrations as well as growing interest in both community-based recovery initiatives and regulatory approaches toward emerging financial technologies.
