The Carolina University Women’s Volleyball team secured a 3-0 win against Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, on Tuesday evening. Head Coach Chelsea Jones led the Bruins to victory with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, and 25-23. This win improves the Bruins’ record to 21-12 for the season.

Earlier in the season, Carolina also swept Paine College in Winston-Salem. The latest match saw similar results as the Bruins maintained control throughout.

Kammi Naude led the offensive effort with eight kills and a .538 hitting percentage. Syvannah Poore contributed 18 assists and two service aces. Hannah Hardy served six aces while Valeria Suarez added three more, totaling nine service aces for the team.

On defense, Charlee Hale recorded nine digs. Carlota Lobete, Britney Comolli, and Karli Totel each had six kills as part of a team hitting percentage of .321.

The Bruins won the first two sets comfortably and managed to secure the third set despite a late push from Paine College.

Coach Chelsea Jones commented on her team’s performance: “Carolina had previously swept Paine College in Winston-Salem back on September 2, and Tuesday’s matchup followed a similar storyline as the Bruins controlled the pace from start to finish.”

Looking ahead, Carolina University will end its regular season with an away game at Guilford College on Friday, November 7. The Quakers have a current record of 17-8 before this final regular-season matchup.
