Senator Ted Budd has been actively engaging with his constituents and addressing national issues through a series of tweets. His recent posts cover a range of topics from welcoming North Carolinians to legislative efforts aimed at tackling drug shortages and advancing digital asset legislation.

On June 16, 2025, Senator Budd expressed his pleasure in meeting visitors from North Carolina in Washington D.C., stating “Always great to welcome North Carolinians to our nation’s capital! #CarolinaCoffee”.

The following day, June 17, 2025, he highlighted a significant concern regarding the country’s dependency on foreign nations for essential medications. He tweeted about his collaboration with Senator Gary Peters on the RAPID Reserve Act, noting that “For far too long, America has faced a drug shortage that not only threatens patients’ health but poses a national security risk.” The act aims to reduce U.S. reliance on China for critical drugs.

Later that same day, Senator Budd announced his support for new legislation concerning digital assets. He stated “Proud to support the first-ever digital asset legislation to pass the U.S. Senate.” This initiative is encapsulated in the GENIUS Act which seeks to enhance American innovation within the financial sector while ensuring consumer protection and maintaining the U.S. dollar’s status as a global reserve currency.
