Senator Ted Budd shared a series of posts on July 15, 2025, addressing topics ranging from the passing of Pastor John MacArthur to national defense and digital asset regulation.
In his first post, Budd expressed condolences for the loss of Pastor John MacArthur. On July 15, he wrote: “Pastor John MacArthur’s unwavering faith & deep biblical teaching touched millions of lives & inspired generations of Christians, including me. I am lifting up @GraceComChurch, @mastersuniv & all of his loved ones in prayer as we mourn his passing & celebrate his immense”.
Later that day, Budd highlighted legislative accomplishments related to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026. He stated on July 15: “I’m proud that the FY 2026 NDAA contains dozens of provisions I led that will boost America’s fighting force in North Carolina and around the world by: – Improving our facilities and programs – Bolstering America’s air superiority – Reducing regulatory burdens – Supporting our”.
In another post on July 15, Budd addressed digital asset rights and self-custody. He said: “Self-custody is a founding principle of the digital asset ecosystem and needs to be protected. I introduced the Keep Your Coins Act of 2025 to ensure the federal government cannot infringe on a person’s ability to control their own digital assets.”
