Senator Ted Budd, who represents North Carolina in the U.S. Senate, highlighted tax relief measures, workforce innovation through artificial intelligence, and ongoing efforts to advance digital asset legislation in a series of posts on April 15, 2026.

On April 15, Budd posted about recent tax policy changes: “North Carolinians are holding onto more of their hard-earned money this tax season, thanks to the Senate Republicans’ Working Families Tax Cut. It delivers real relief for families—from child tax credits to American vehicle loan deductions and other tax breaks.”

Later that day, Budd addressed technological advancements and workforce productivity: “Less time on the mundane. More time on what matters. AI can strengthen our workforce & help us make more of our moments. I joined @Google & @MITFutureTech’s AI for the Economy Forum to discuss building an economy where innovation creates more opportunities.”

In his final post of the day, Budd focused on digital assets: “Great meeting with the innovators and leaders at @moonpay who are shaping the future of the digital asset industry. As the Senate works to finalize market-structure legislation, conversations like this help ensure that America stays at the forefront of digital-asset innovation.”

Budd has served as U.S. Senator from North Carolina after three terms representing the state’s 13th Congressional District in the House of Representatives, according to his official website. He is involved in community activities such as volunteering as an assistant scoutmaster and serving on the board of North Carolinians for Home Education. Budd holds degrees from Appalachian State University, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Wake Forest University.

He serves on key Senate committees including Armed Services, Intelligence, and Commerce. Alongside his wife Amy Kate—whom he met during a Christian mission trip—he raises three children in Davie County while advocating for educational choice and responsible firearm enjoyment.
