As businesses readjust after being closed for months, some of the changes they experience while reopening might be more permanent than temporary, The Dispatch reported in June.
From practicing social distancing to reducing their capacity, several businesses have made adjustments to comply with best-practice recommendations from the Centers for Disease and Control Prevention, The Dispatch reported. Millstone Creek Orchards has gone as far as teaming up with other similar entities a safety precaution.
The orchard’s marketing manager Marissa Devine told The Dispatch, “We partnered with about a dozen other local farmers and food producers to sell their products on the Apple Barn Mobile Market, providing guests a safe way to purchase groceries.”
Another company has turned to offering its products online and creating more of a digital space to reach its customers, The Dispatch reported, which can lessen the time spent at a store, helping social distancing measures.
Four Saints Brewing Co. co-owner Joel McCloskey said of this change, “Treat every reopening business as if they are opening for the first time. We will be doing our best and we will make mistakes, have to make quick adjustments to the process, or take a moment to make sure we are doing things correctly,” The Dispatch reported.
