Davie County issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
The High Point Police Department Vice & Narcotics Detectives completed an investigation into Adones Vanderhall (B/M, 20, of Greensboro) who was arrested on August 19, 2021.
Detectives learned that Vanderhall was to deliver five pounds of methamphetamine to a buyer on the north side of High Point. Detectives planned an operation to intercept this
shipment of drugs. Vanderhall, while attempting to evade capture, crashed his vehicle into detective’s cars and then fled on foot. Detectives, HPPD Canine Officers, Patrol Officers,
and several High Point officers tracked Vanderhall through the woods and creeks until he was captured hiding in a drainage culvert. Five pounds of methamphetamine were
recovered from the car Vanderhall was driving along with a pistol. Evidence led detectives back to another apartment in High Point which was connected to Vanderhall. A search
warrant was executed at this apartment and an additional five pounds of methamphetamine and 1.41 pounds of fentanyl were discovered. Through investigation, a total of 10.2
pounds of methamphetamine and 1.41 pounds of fentanyl were seized in this operation. Vanderhall was arrested along with Christina Elliott (B/F, 52, of High Point) and charged
with two counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and two counts of Trafficking in Fentanyl. Vanderhall was placed in the Guilford County (High Point) under a $100,000 secured
bond and Elliott was placed in the Guilford County (High Point) Jail under a $25,000 secured bond. Vanderhall posted his bond a short time later. Since April 2019, Vanderhall has
been charged with carrying a concealed gun, possession with the intent to sell Heroin, discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, three counts of attempted murder, and two
counts of Sell and Deliver Cocaine.
