City of High Point issued the following announcement on Aug. 16.
There are no alternate greenway routes through this area. Re-opening expected in mid-September.
The remainder of the High Point Greenway remains open. The High Point Greenway can be accessed at Armstrong Park, Burnett Park and Piedmont Environmental Center. The Bicentennial Greenway, which runs from Penny Road to Gallimore Dairy Road, will also remain open.
