Davie County Tax Administrator Brian Myers Receives the William A. Campbell Award

Davie County recently issued the following announcement.

Congratulations to Davie County Tax Administrator Brian Myers, who recently received the William A. Campbell Award from the NC Tax Collectors’ Association. 

 The William A. Campbell Award is given at the discretion of the presiding President of the Tax Collectors' Association. The award may be given to any member of the association based on their exemplary efforts and dedication to the area of tax collections.

The award was established in 1997 in honor of William A. Campbell of the Institute of Government for his years of dedicated service to the North Carolina Tax Collectors Association by meeting educational needs and providing guidance through the maze of taxation and bankruptcy law. This award honors those recipients who have given of their time and efforts for the overall betterment of the Tax Collectors of the State of North Carolina. 

“I was truly humbled and honored to receive the William A Campbell Award from Mrs. Snell the NCTCA President. The officers of the NCTCA have worked well together trying to make positive change," Myers said. 

 Brian has worked for Davie County for 13 years and has served as Tax Administrator since 2011. "I was told very early in my career that you are only as strong as the people around you and I am blessed to have spectacular people around me," he said. 

 “We are proud of Brian and his accomplishments. Brian recently led the revaluation project for Davie County, and he has a great team in the Tax Office that focuses on customer service. Brian is respected across the state for his knowledge and leadership.  This recognition is well deserved,” said David Bone, Davie County Manager.
