Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccine Update

Heakth

Davie County recently issued the following announcement.

Children ages 5 to 11 can now receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The FDA has authorized a lower dose of the Pfizer vaccine for children in this age group, and the CDC recommend all children 5–11 get the vaccine to protect against serious illness and help keep them healthy. During the most recent surge, pediatric cases of COVID-19 rose by about 240% in the United States, demonstrating a need to protect children from the disease.

Friday, November 5th and Friday, November 12th, Davie County HHS will be offering this vaccine to children age 5 - 11 by appointment at our facility, 154 Government Center Drive, Mocksville. Beginning on November 15th, vaccine will be offered Monday - Friday by appointment for those age 5 - 11.

Call (336) - 753 - 6779 to schedule an appointment or ask further questions of our COVID Immunization Staff.
