Town of Mocksville recently issued the following announcement.
Although it didn’t feel like Christmas, holiday spirits were high as thousands lined the streets Saturday for one of Mocksville’s most beloved traditions, the Mocksville Hometown Christmas Parade.
The crowd waved and children scrambled for candy as the 78 participants, everything from walking groups, performers, single vehicles to full-blown floats, and of course, Santa Claus, traveled down Main and Depot Streets.
Mocksville Community Development Coordinator Tami Langdon appreciates all of the parade entrants and said that the points were very close for awarding top prizes. The winners of the 2021 Mocksville Hometown Christmas Parade are:
BEST OVERALL FLOATS
FIRST PLACE GARDEN VALLEY CIVIC ASSOC. $75.00
SECOND PLACE SMART START $50.00
THIRD PLACE GIRL SCOUT TROOP #2580 $25.00
MOST DYNAMIC PERFORMANCES:
FIRST PLACE COOLEEMEE REDSKINS $75.00
SECOND PLACE MOCKSVILLE RAMS $50.00
THIRD PLACE P4:13 BASEBALL $25.00
Thanks to the Town of Mocksville for all of the hard work organizing and coordinating the Mocksville Christmas Parade.
Thank you to all of the volunteers and organizations that contributed time and talent, and thanks to all of the parents and kids who participated!
