Local COVID-19 Testing Site Hours Extended

200422 pnc center testing site coronavirus ac 613p

Davie County Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Need a COVID test? The local COVID-19 testing site at 114 Dr. Slate Drive in Mocksville has extended its hours to 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This FREE  testing site is provided by Optum Serve – a contractor for NCDHHS. You will not be charged regardless of whether you are insured or not. Pre-registration is not required but will improve overall wait times. Click here to pre-register or call (877) 562-4850. You will be guided to select an appointment time, but please note that due to testing volume, this site is managed on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you do not pre-register, bring the required information (insurance, driver’s license, and telephone contacts) with you and be ready to complete the registration form on site. Both standard tests (PCR) and antigen rapid tests are offered, but with the current high demand for testing, please understand that both options may not be available.

Because the site is outdoors, testing may be canceled or opening times delayed due to bad weather. The site may also have altered hours during holidays. Holiday hours will be shared on the Davie County Government webpage. For questions regarding your test at this site, call Optum Serve at (877) 562 – 4850.

Residents 18 and older can request a no-cost at-home COVID-19 test collection kit for themselves online. Parents or guardians of residents under 18 can request a no-cost at-home COVID-19 test collection kit for those aged 2-17.

Davie County has reported over 700 new cases of COVID in the past seven days. Health officials continue to recommend that residents get vaccinated. COVID-19 shots and boosters are available to all age groups at the health department. Please call the COVID line at (336) 753-6779 to make an appointment.

For general information and testing guidance, call Davie County Health and Human Services at (336) 753 – 6750. Click HERE for local COVID updates.
