SilverArts 2022
Davie County SilverArts had the largest ever participation in the 2022 SilverArts competition. SilverArts consists of Literary Arts, Heritage Arts, and Visual Arts. The Literary Arts competition turn in date was held on April 19, and the judges are still in review. There were three entries in the 2022 Literary Arts competition.
For the Visual and Heritage Arts categories, the Davie County Library Multipurpose Room filled with gorgeous paintings, photographs, quilts, woodworking, and more. The room was beautiful with the creations of folks that live right here in the great Davie County! This year, there were 23 entries in the Heritage Arts categories and 34 entries in the Visual Arts categories. The judges were faced with so much challenge in judging because ALL of the entries were absolutely fabulous.
Unlike Senior Games, SilverArts only features the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners across the entire category instead of awarding based on age. This means that anyone 50-100+ can enter and everyone is scored on the same principles – the Philosophy of SilverArts.
