A minute of your time could change a local family’s life!

Family Promise of Davie County is excited to have made it through the nomination phase and into the voting period in Triad Kids Dental’s Caring4Community Awards.

“We are in the running with 8 other triad nonprofit organizations to win a $10,000 award,” explained FPDC Executive Director Lisa Foster, noting that $10,000 would prevent homelessness for 20 local families in Davie County.

Since opening its doors in 2017, FPDC has served over 1,000 parents and children through its shelter, transitional housing, and emergency financial assistance programs.

“Our mission is to help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. We help families through the provision of shelter, financial assistance, and case management,” Foster shared. “An additional $10,000 in funding would allow us to assist many more families.”

“It takes maybe 30 seconds to vote and you can vote as much as you’d like, even multiple times a day. Thirty seconds or even five minutes of your time could change the trajectory of a child’s life!”
