Promotions Announced in Davie County Inspections and Development Services Departments

Interim Davie County Manager, Mike Ruffin, has promoted Kelly Jordan to Inspections Supervisor.  Her role in this position began June 6.  

Kelly is a 1992 graduate of Davie County High School and earned an associate degree in Architectural Technologies from Forsyth Tech in 1994.  She has been employed with Davie County as an inspector for 25 years.

“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to serve the community in this new role.  I have a wonderful team to work with and anticipate a smooth transition.  I look forward to this new challenge and will continue to strive to provide the excellent level of customer service that our inspections department has become known for,” said Jordan.

Kelly and her teenage son Nathaniel live in Advance with their dog, Anakin, and cat, Vader.

Interim Davie County Manager, Mike Ruffin, has also promoted Adam Barr.  He began his promotion as a Planner II on June 6, and was additionally promoted to Interim Planning Director on June 20.  

Adam is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor’s degree in Geography, concentrating in Urban and Regional Planning.  He has been employed with the county in the Development Services Department since August of 2019.

“I want to thank Andrew Meadwell and Amy Flyte. It is through their years of mentorship that I feel prepared to take on this position and to continue the high levels of service to citizens and elected officials that their years of dedication set the standard, said Barr.”

Adam is a newlywed to wife Mercedes, who is with the Davie County Recreation and Parks department.
