September is here and cooler days are approaching! It has been a fast and wonderful summer in many ways. Driving through Davie County, we have seen continued new growth, new building, and many positive changes. We welcome our new County manager Brian Barnett to DC and wish him success in his new role serving our community.
With fall, approaching thoughts change from summer fun in sun, to apple festivals, chicken stews and long sleeves. We have “pirate parties” in downtown Mocksville, a Bluegrass festival, a Hoedown at Winmock, the 13th annual tour of Farmington and movies in the park to name a few. Check out our webpage for more details and all the events. I hope the cooler evenings find you ready for fresh air and light jackets as you dine out of doors for a little longer.
