Christmas is Coming to Mocksville! Get Ready Now for These Fun-Filled Activities!

Christmas is fast approaching, and the Town of Mocksville has lots of fabulous activities guaranteed to make your holiday a little more merry and bright!

Mocksville’s Hometown Christmas Parade – December 3

Mocksville’s Hometown Christmas Parade is an annual holiday tradition that has delighted young and old for decades. This year’s theme is “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.”

The parade will feature everything from walking groups, performers, horseback riders, and single vehicles to full-blown floats, candy for the kids, and of course, Santa Claus. A list of participants and their locations can be found HERE.

The parade will depart from Rich Park on Saturday, December 3 at 2 p.m. and will travel down Main Street, turn left on Depot Street, and end at Railroad Street, where dismantling will begin.

Please note: Limited through traffic will begin at 1 p.m., and the parade route streets (Main, Depot, Park, Poplar, etc.) will be closed to ALL traffic by 1:15 p.m. so that the parade may start on time at 2 p.m.

Jingle All the Way – Carriage Rides – December 9

What better way to enjoy the Christmas lights and the spirit of the holidays than a ride through Historic Downtown Mocksville in a horse-drawn carriage! The buggy can hold 4-6 people, so bring the family and enjoy a FREE carriage ride down Main Street and the downtown area. Carriages will depart from West Depot Street near Lydia Jaynes on December 9th from 6-8 p.m. Parking is available at Town Hall.

Christmas in the Park & Holiday Music with the North Davie Pep Band – December 10

Grab a bite to eat at one of Davie County’s delectable restaurants, and then head to Mocksville’s Main Street Park from noon to 4 p.m. for a delightful day of holiday fun for the young and the young at heart. There will be a 22′ inflatable slide and turbo bounce house;  make-your-own Christmas ornaments with volunteers from the Davie County Public Library; games with The Bridge Church, and hot cocoa and treats. Barry Rentz and the Mobile Jukebox will be spinning holiday hits on Main Street.

The inclement weather date is Saturday, December 17, from noon to 4 p.m.

After an action-packed day, relax to the sounds of the season as the North Davie Pep Band strolls through Downtown Mocksville from 6-7:30 p.m., adding a festive air to your holiday meal or last-minute shopping.

Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus and Holiday Music with the Davie Community Band – December 17th

Christmas isn’t complete without a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Enjoy a chance to share your last-minute Christmas wishes and take photos with the famous pair from 1-4 p.m. at Main Street Park in Mocksville. Barry Rentz and his Mobile Jukebox will be on hand playing your favorite holiday tunes.

Later on, enjoy the sounds of the season as the Davie Community Band strolls through Downtown Mocksville playing your favorite holiday classics from 6-7 p.m. Grab a coffee or hot cocoa at the Factory Coffeehouse, find a bench, and let the music fill you with Christmas spirit.
