Davie County Recreation and Parks (DCRP) is pleased to announce the 2023-2024 cycle of the Community Recreation Agency Grant program. Community Recreation Agency Grants focus on supplemental funding for qualified agencies within Davie County interested in partnership with Davie County Recreation and Parks to carry out its mission and vision through the promotion of recreational fitness, health, wellness and quality of life initiatives. It is the intent of this grant to be a financial assistance program for capital improvements and community-based program activities that increase recreational opportunities for the communities served and shall not be a designated donation or sponsorship opportunity.
The mission of DCRP is to enrich the quality of life in Davie County by offering exceptional recreational experiences through a diverse system of programs, events, parks and cultural resources. Eligibility requirements, application standards and the grant application will be posted and available (online only) through the DCRP website on December 13, 2022. Only complete grant applications submitted online are reviewed. Access to grant policy and application may be found at:

Signed applications must be received online no later than 11:59 p.m. on February 10, 2023. Applications received after this date/time will not be considered under any circumstances. Applications will be evaluated in a three-phased process including a) Recreation and Parks Team and County Attorney, b) Recreation and Parks Advisory Board, and c) Davie County Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners will determine final approval of the recommended grant awards with all organizations being notified via e-mail in July 2023.
To assist potential applicants, DCRP will be providing an online educational training video that will navigate through each section of the grant application and detail processes and submittals involved. The training video will appear as an additional link within the grant webpage (provided above) on or before December 30. Applicants who are considering a Community Recreation Agency Grant funding request are strongly encouraged to watch the video.
