The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program helps low-income households with a one-time annual payment to energy providers to help with the rising cost of heating during the winter months. Applications are accepted through March 31. Applications can be submitted at epass.nc.gov, by calling (336) 703-3800 or at Forsyth Social Services, 741 N. Highland Ave, where applications can be picked up outside the office or filled out in person during business hours.
