The Carolina University Women's Volleyball team competed against the Lions of Paine College in a home match tonight in Winston-Salem, NC.
The Bruins began with a strong performance, winning the first set 25-16. Libero Rebecca Walker excelled, ending the set with three service aces and achieving a personal best of 10 aces overall.
In the second set, the Bruins gained momentum quickly, leading 8-2 before Paine called a timeout. The Blue and Gold extended their lead to 10-2 with two more aces. They maintained their offensive rhythm and finished the set at 25-11 with a hitting percentage of .258%.
The Bruins secured victory in the third set, winning 25-12 after initially trailing. They ended the game with an eight-point run, including three points from Sion Murrain, who led the team with 12 kills. Sarah-Elizabeth Samuels also contributed significantly with nine kills.
The Women's Volleyball team will play again this Saturday at Johnson and Wales University at 1:00 PM.
