Columbia, KY - Carolina University's men's basketball team faced challenges in their season-opening games at the Brady Button Memorial Classic. The Bruins first encountered Lindsey Wilson College, resulting in a 110-88 defeat. Cameron Parker and freshman Caden Fitzgibbons led the team's scoring efforts with 18 points each. Parker contributed six rebounds, two steals, and two assists, while Fitzgibbons added two rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.

In their second game against Campbellsville University, CarolinaU fell short again with a score of 100-74. Kaden Clarke was the top scorer for the Bruins with 13 points, and Ethan Bell recorded eight rebounds.

"Obviously the results aren't what we wanted but we are on the right path," stated Head Coach Jacob Heck. "I'm very proud of how this team competed and handled adversity. It's a really strong locker room and I'm confident that will lead to positive results long term."

The Bruins are set to make their home debut for the 2023-24 season at Williams Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 1 at 7:00 pm against Voorhees University. Fans can follow along through live stats and live streaming options.
