The Carolina University Men's Soccer team faced Trinity Christian College in their opening match of the NCCAA National Championship, resulting in a 1-1 draw. The game took place in Kissimmee, Florida.

Luke Spillane-Davis continued his impressive season by scoring a goal just over three minutes into the match. His goal was assisted by Nathan Rue following a corner kick. The match turned into a defensive struggle thereafter, with Toran Penner equalizing for Trinity Christian in the twenty-seventh minute.

William Cothill, playing as goalkeeper for Carolina University, completed the full ninety minutes and made four crucial saves. One of these saves was highlighted as the play of the game during the second half, helping to maintain the draw.
