Carolina University Softball secured a victory in their home doubleheader against St. Andrews University, winning both games with strong performances. In the first game, after an initial exchange of scores, the Lady Bruins emerged victorious with a 9-5 win. The second game saw a decisive offensive start, concluding by run-rule after five innings with a score of 10-2.

In Game 1, sophomore ZyMaijah Thomas made an impact early on with a single that brought Grace Johnson home. Mackenzie Brown added to the lead with two RBIs from a double to center field. Danielle Brooks played a crucial role by striking out seven batters and escaping a tight situation in the fifth inning. Kalea Bolch contributed significantly with a homerun that added two more runs for the Bruins.

Game 2 began strongly for the Lady Bruins as Johnson hit a home run in her first at-bat. Thomas followed up with a triple and was brought home by Bolch's single. The team extended their lead to 6-1 in the second inning, highlighted by Lexi Hall's two RBIs from her single. Nicole Otto also added to the scoreline in the third inning amidst defensive errors from St. Andrews' shortstop.

The match concluded at 10-2 due to Carolina University's ability to capitalize on numerous pitching errors by their opponents across both games.

Looking ahead, Carolina University will face Livingstone College next Wednesday in Salisbury, NC.
