Carolina University's women's basketball advances to NCCAA semifinals

Women's Basketball team from Carolina University advanced to the semifinals after defeating Asbury University Eagles with a score of 69-57 in the NCCAA Championship Quarter Final. The game took place in Winona Lake, Indiana.

The Lady Bruins achieved three double-doubles during the match. Shantazia Gordon scored 15 points and secured 16 rebounds. DenAsia Mitchell contributed with 12 points and 13 assists, while Shamya Loman added 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Blue and Gold.

The team started strong with a 22-0 run, finishing the first quarter at a dominating lead of 25-3. DenAsia Mitchell assisted Shamya Loman for the first points of the game, and Kamelija Ignatova scored nine points in that quarter.

In the second quarter, Asbury attempted to close the gap but only managed to reduce it to 13 by halftime. The third quarter saw another strong performance from the Bruins as they outscored their opponents once more.

Despite a late surge from Asbury Eagles, Carolina University maintained control in the fourth quarter with a free throw percentage of 75%, scoring a total of 18 points by game's end.

The Lady Bruins will face Alice Lloyd tonight at 7:00 PM in the semifinals, aiming for a spot in Saturday's championship match scheduled for 5:00 PM.
