Carolina University Women's Basketball team faced Johnson & Wales University in a home game, ending the Wildcats' three-game winning streak. The Bruins, now with a 9-5 record, showcased strong offensive and defensive strategies to secure their victory.
Bianca Gonzalez was a standout player for the Bruins, contributing 22 points and securing six rebounds. DenAsia Mitchell also played a significant role with 20 points and four steals. The Bruins established an early lead by scoring 24 points in the first quarter while limiting Johnson & Wales to just 12 points.
Shantazia Gordon added to the team's success with 14 points out of the total 74 scored by the Bruins. Shamya Loman contributed significantly on defense with ten rebounds and eight points.
The team will be traveling next week to face Pfeiffer University on February 7 at 6 pm.
