Moms for Liberty has endorsed Sheila Blower in her race for a seat on the Davidson County Board of Education. 

Early voting will take place from October 17 to November 2 for the November 5 general election.

One of Blower's priorities is keeping pornographic materials out of school libraries. In a post on her Facebook page, Blower explained that while individual parents may feel that their children can handle more mature content, "not all kids are ready for this content and so we are doing a disservice to those kids and parents in our community by having them in our libraries."

Blower is concerned about how the Davidson County Board of Education allocates taxpayers' money., saying "no checks and balances and no one asking questions. Our board votes unanimously every time on everything." Blower wrote that she will work to ensure transparency in how tax dollars are spent and eliminate waste.

She also said the Board needs to communicate with and respond to parents who reach out via phone or email with concerns, and she pledged to keep those lines of communication open.

In a September 21 interview with Concerned Parents of Davidson County NC, Blower emphasized that "the school board has no purpose, the teachers have no purpose, principals, administration staff, and the schools have no purpose, without the children. The children are the whole reason we're there. So everything should be focused on the children, and it should be focused on their education, and solely their education," she said regarding issues of indoctrination in schools.

Blower and her husband have two children.

Per the Davidson County Schools Board of Education manual, the Board comprises five members. Terms are four years and staggered so that two or three members are elected every two years. Elections are nonpartisan.

Moms for Liberty is a parental-rights-in-education advocacy group founded by Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, two former school board members. According to their website, "Moms for Liberty is dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government."
