Carolina University Women's Volleyball team hosted Virginia University of Lynchburg in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Lady Bruins secured a win on Senior Night with a straight-set victory. They narrowly won the first set 25-23 and dominated the following sets 25-7 and 25-15. The Bruins had a hitting percentage of .397, while holding their opponents to .093.
SarahElizabeth Samuels led the team with 11 kills and two blocks, while Kamra King contributed with 13 assists and three aces. Before the match, four seniors were honored.
Kaylee Barriage from Hope Mills, North Carolina, was accompanied by her parents Kim and David Barriage. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is pursuing a Master's in Counseling with plans for a doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
Maya Gray from Clayton, North Carolina, was escorted by her parents Michelle and Jared Gray. She is graduating with a degree in Public Health and plans to attend Sonography school.
Erica Pasa from Venice, Italy, was escorted by Chiara Mottola, Elijah Carter, Noah Castillo, and Frankie Burke. Erica graduates with a Master's in Business Administration and plans to work at Tesla.
Sarah Pickett from Fayetteville, North Carolina, was escorted by her parents Monty and Michele Pickett and brother Roger Pickett. Sarah graduates with a degree in Psychology and aims to continue in the coffee business while becoming IT certified.
The Bruins will play against Guilford College on November 3 before hosting the NCCAA South Regional Tournament next week.
