The Carolina University Men's Basketball team faced a narrow defeat against Clinton College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Bruins ended the game with a close score of 76-79.
The Bears started strong, establishing an early lead before Zivko Damjanovic scored to even the match. Both teams continued to compete vigorously through the first half, which concluded with the Bruins trailing by five points at 33-38.
In the second half, the Bruins managed to take the lead temporarily. However, Clinton College quickly responded, maintaining an intense back-and-forth contest. Despite consistent scoring efforts from both sides, neither team could establish a definitive advantage.
Aundree Polk was the leading scorer for the Bruins with 28 points and recorded a double-double by also securing 10 rebounds. He attempted to shift momentum in favor of his team during the last two minutes by hitting consecutive three-pointers but ultimately fell short as they couldn't capitalize on this offensive push.
The Bruins are scheduled to play again on January 30th at their home court against Virginia University of Lynchburg at 6:00 PM.
