Winston-Salem Forsyth County School Board of Education Dana Caudill recently added her endorsement to those supporting state Sen. Joyce Krawiec (R-Forsyth) in her bid for a second term.
"Everyone knows that I am a big supporter of teachers, schools, and children," Krawiec said in her Oct.14 post touting the endorsement from Caudill. "That is why I am endorsed by public employee groups like SEANC [State Employees Association of North Carolina] and by local government officials like Dana Caudill Jones WSFCS Board of Education. Thank you, Dana!"
In a candidate interview, Krawiec told WXII 12 for its Oct. 8 report that she feels the General Assembly has done well for education in the state.
"I think we've done a tremendous amount to increase education funding in North Carolina," Krawiec said, WXII 12 reported. "We will never have enough money to do all that we want in education, but currently, 58% of our total budget is spent on education."
