Davie County recently issued the following announcement.
Those who have been fully vaccinated with the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines may now be eligible to receive a booster dose. Additionally, individuals are now able to receive any brand of COVID-19 vaccine for their booster shot. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster.
A Johnson & Johnson Booster vaccine may be given at least 2 months after primary vaccination, to individuals 18 years of age and older.
A Moderna Booster may be given at least 6 months after the completion of the primary series, to individuals:
- 65 years if age or older
-18-64 years of age at high risk of severe COVID-19, with frequent
institutional exposure, or work-place exposure to COVID-19
