Sunflower Maze
A gorgeous field of sunflowers blooms here from about June 17 – July 3. Explore the Sunflower Maze seven days per week. Cut your own sunflowers (or other wildflowers) and take photos. Splashpad
Keep your cool at our Vortex Splashpad which is the largest in North Carolina and includes LED lights for nighttime play. There are three different areas designated for multiple age groups. Beat the heat with shaded picnic areas and lounge chairs. Aquatic wheelchairs are available. You can register and pay online. Visit the website for more information.

RiverPark at Cooleemee Falls
Summer is all about getting outdoors while staying cool. Wade into fun when you visit the “Bullhole” at Cooleemee Falls. RiverPark features an impressive stone dam, a sandy beach, and good fishing. Swim and “ride” the little rapids, or put in the canoe or kayak. Picnic tables and benches are scattered along beautiful, wooded trails on the banks of the Yadkin. Textile Heritage Center & Mill House Museum
The Cooleemee Historic District includes the Textile Heritage Center in the historic Zachary Holt House, the former mill manager’s home. Exhibits allow visitors to explore just what a cotton mill town was like in its prime. At the Mill House Museum you will discover what life was like in a typical home in this bygone era.

Mocksville’s Cruise-In
The DC Cruisers “Cruise-In” happens from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on the first Monday of the month from April to October in Historic Downtown Mocksville. It’s a time of nostalgia and fun- with music and a variety of food. Drinks and snacks are always available at Scoops Ice Cream Shop, The Station General Store and Taproom, and at a variety of eateries on Main Street.

Davie Disc Golf
Farmington’s Disc Golf Course is an 18-hole course which is part of the 60-acre Nature Park and it’s FREE to play. Grab your gear and head out to enjoy a game and view the local wildlife. Save time for a quick hike along the trails where you will spot a huge variety of native plants and animals including colorful birds and busy beavers on the banks of Cedar Creek.

Cedar Creek Airsoft is open every weekend. Bring your own gear or rent theirs for a full day of epic battles and summer fun. This is a field designed specifically for airsoft so it’s safer than playing in a neighborhood or park, where someone could mistake a replica gun for the real thing. Safety precautions and equipment are required and are listed on their website. Experienced referees monitor the game-play. Register and pay online.

Farmington Dragway
Motorsports fans will love a visit to the Farmington Dragway for some on-track action. Hot rods and dragsters compete on this 1/8 mile track all year long with speed and precision. Check out the huge variety of race events and the schedule at their website.

Mocksville Walking Tour
Head downtown at any given time during the week or on a weekend and there is sure to be something going on: Instagram-worthy murals, live music, great food, movies in the park, and concerts on the square are only the tip of the iceberg.
