Carolina University Athletics has announced the signing of pitcher Adam Conrad with the San Diego Padres. This milestone marks Conrad as the first CU baseball player to advance to Major League Baseball, representing a significant step in his athletic career.

Adam Conrad, a First-Team All-Region pitcher, demonstrated his abilities during his junior season with 55.2 innings pitched, a 4.85 ERA, and 72 strikeouts. His performance elevated the Carolina University Baseball team's overall success.

Beyond his on-field achievements, Conrad's character and faith have been noted by those around him. Supporters are eager to see how he will continue to exemplify his values in professional baseball.

"I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to further my baseball career with the Padres! I wouldn't be in this position without the teachers and administrators at Carolina University," said Adam Conrad. "Also a special thank you to the Lord, my family, my baseball team, Coach Miller, and his staff. Without all of these people, none of this would be possible. All glory to God!"

Coach Miller expressed pride in Conrad's accomplishments: "We are so proud of Adam; he has the drive and dedication to be the best at his craft! He's a true student of the game and possesses the skill set to help a team win at the major league level quickly in his career," he said. "He is an incredible talent and an even better person! We firmly believe that Adam will continue to put God first and glorify him with his professional platform! We are excited to watch his career unfold!"
