Carolina University splits series opener against Bluefield

Carolina University Baseball hosted Bluefield University for a series of games in Mocksville, NC. The teams faced off in a double-header on Saturday, February 3rd. In the first game, both teams found it difficult to score initially, with Bluefield eventually taking the lead with runs in the fourth and seventh innings. The Bruins managed only one run in the sixth inning.

In the second game, Carolina University came back strong. Although Bluefield scored early in the first inning, the Bruins dominated by scoring ten consecutive runs from the third to sixth innings. Bluefield managed another run in the seventh inning but ended up losing 10-2.

During Game 1, Ean Laird contributed significantly with a home run and two RBIs while Jase Brooks excelled defensively with 11 putouts (POs).

Game 2 saw contributions from Deion Tubbs, Alexiel Delgado, Ean Laird, and Bryan Deegan on offense for Carolina University. Jacob Anasias recorded seven POs and Cade Fletcher added ten more defensively.

In Game 3 of the series, William Darder was notable with three RBIs and three stolen bases as part of nine total hits for Carolina University.
