Bruins split road games against Averett University

The Bruins baseball team traveled to Danville, Virginia, for a doubleheader against Averett University. In the first game, the Bruins secured a victory by scoring four runs and limiting their opponents to one run in the sixth inning. Caden Ross played a key role on the mound with five strikeouts over four innings without errors. Bryan Deegan contributed significantly with two RBIs and scored another run assisted by Jase Brooks.

However, in the second game of the doubleheader, the Cougars outperformed the Bruins with a score of 13-3. The Bruins managed only three hits during this match. Paxton Tucker's double in the fifth inning allowed Alexial Delgado to score the team's only earned run.

The Bruins are set to return to action on Tuesday, March 12, when they will host St. Andrews University at Mando Field. Fans have options to attend in person or follow live stats online.
