Carolina University's men's soccer team secured a victory against St. Andrews in an away game on September 5, 2023. The Bruins improved their record to 2-1 while the Knights faced a setback in their first match of the season.

Luke Spillane-Davis opened the scoring for Carolina University with his fifth goal of the season in the twenty-fifth minute, assisted by Nathan Rue, who leads the team with four assists. Shortly after, St. Andrews equalized, but newcomer Thomas Yegbor scored the decisive goal in the sixty-fifth minute.

Goalkeeper Jonny Rivera made his debut start and delivered a strong performance, conceding only one goal and making seven saves out of 17 shots faced, including eight on target. The defensive line remained solid throughout the match with Matthew McCamley, Maxwell Tennant, and Alexander Tweddle playing full-time.

The Bruins are set to play against Brevard College in Brevard, NC on Sunday. Fans can follow their progress through live stats and streaming services.
