Carolina University volleyball splits matches at Paine College tri-match

Carolina University Women's Volleyball team participated in a tri-match event at Paine College on September 9. The team, with a record of 3-3, faced off against Paine College and Savannah State.

In their first match against Paine College, the Bruins secured a three-set victory. Kamra King played a crucial role by leading the team with 11 kills, 13 assists, and 3 aces. Desirae Pisano contributed defensively with 6 digs.

The second match saw the Bruins winning the initial set against Savannah State but losing the subsequent three sets. Kamra King again stood out with 26 assists. SarahElizabeth Samuels led in kills with 11, while Desirae Pisano also had 11 kills. Sarah Pickett and Rebecca Walker each recorded 10 kills.

Head Coach Chelsea Jones expressed optimism about the team's progress: "The pieces are starting to come together," she stated. "We are competing and playing as a team while celebrating individual wins. I am ready to watch that translate into even more success."

The Bruins are set to return to Williams Gymnasium on September 12 for their next match against Warren Wilson. Fans can attend in person or follow via live stats and stream.
