Carolina University men's volleyball falls to Truett McConnell

Carolina University faced a challenging match against Truett McConnell on March 15, 2025, at the Harris Athletic Complex in Cleveland, Georgia. The men's volleyball team from Carolina University was defeated in straight sets with scores of 15-25, 22-25, and 16-25.

Although the team struggled overall, there were moments of strong performance. In the second set, Carolina University managed to push Truett McConnell to a close finish. However, Truett McConnell's efficient attack proved decisive as they hit .370 as a team.

Jashawn Sykes led Carolina with four kills and one ace but had difficulties with efficiency, hitting -.176. Moses Nix and Friedrich Hall each contributed five kills; Hall achieved a team-high hitting percentage of .273. Kai Jamerson served as the primary setter for Carolina University and provided 17 assists during the match. Additionally, Jamison Johnson added four kills and a block assist.

For Truett McConnell, Adam Shuman stood out by leading all scorers with nine kills and an impressive hitting percentage of .615. The Bears excelled in their service game by recording eleven aces.

Looking ahead, Carolina University's Bruins will aim to recover from this defeat in their upcoming match against Averett University on March 19th at 7 p.m.
